Jammu is a major tourist station in India and hugely popular among pilgrims because of Vaishno Devi Mandir. Though apart from Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra this place has so many things to offer to people who visit here. First of all Jammu and Kashmir might sound similar to outsiders but there is a huge cultural and geographical difference between Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir resembles more to muslim countries and Jammu looks more like extension of Jalandhar or Patiyala and mainly dominated by Punjabi folks. And so it is obvious that it would have some rich food history too. I mean Punjabis and food goes alongside. Right? Fortune Inn Riviera tops the chart of Jammu best hotels. This hotel is associated with ITC group of hotels and located near Raghunath market which is the best thing about this hotel. They offer Kashmiri,Indian,Continental,Chinese cuisines in their earthen oven restaurant and they also offer Buffet Food in their other restaurant Orchid. They have their vocal singers and bands too. Then they have one very nice coffee shop too which I think is the best in Jammu apart from Coffee Cafe Day and Barista coffee shops. Fortune Inn Riviera also has community hall and rooms to stay. The prices are comparatively steep as compared to other hotels in Jammu but the luxury that it has to offer to you is among the best in Jammu.

Fortune Inn Riviera can be a great hotel if you are visiting Jammu for business purposes. Though I will recommend you to try lunch buffet at orchid or dinner at earthen oven least once if you have a chance during your stay. Also it offers discounts to Army officers .
Hari Niwas Palace
First of all you should know that Hari Niwas palace is an original palace which has been converted to a hotel cum restaurant (well just the part of it) and if you are an urban traveller and enjoy the luxury every place has to offer to you then Hari Niwas is a must stay hotel for you. It is among the jammu best hotels. The open terrace restaurant offers a magnificent view of Tawi river flowing below,proud mountain ranges and lush greeneries that you expect to have in Jammu. Yes Hari Niwas offers you your dream Jammu stay. It’s in outskirts but worth every pain and penny you take to be there. Though they have one indoor restaurant too along with a royal bar stacked with leather sofas and gigantic horse sculpture which is kind of cool. The room prices are not that expensive that you expect from a hotel of this stature.

The aided advantage is the Hari Niwas Museum which is so full of royal paintings and pictures and ticket price is just 20 INR. Also The only zoo of Jammu ‘Manda Zoo’ is just at a distance of 5 minutes.
Pirates of the grill
This is just not any other restaurant but entirely a different swag! The feel,ambience and also the food gives you very carefree and nomadic vibes. It’s a chain restaurant which offers buffet only food. But then that buffet includes almost little bit of everything desi,continental, chinese except south indian cuisines.
Tip from the local
Well the desserts are to die for and there’s an whole range of desserts from a continental pudding to gajar ka halwa. Try visiting it for lunch as it’s cheaper than what it costs for dinners.
Imperial Grill
This is the kind of hotel you visit with your bunch of friends for some beer while some cricket match is going on. The interiors are not very impressive but yes the range of food is awesomely nice. Unlike the limited variety of food available in other jammu hotels. Then they have a bar too. There are two three more resturant in the entire complex but Imperial grill is what you call a good ‘eating out’ event.

The chilly parathas are to die for which you can have from the range of mocktails they have to offer to you. And as it’s at a distance of 2 minutes from Bahu Plaza so you can also enjoy a hot cuppa cappuccino in Coffee Cafe Day there after your dinner. They also offer fauji discounts so popular among Army crowd.
Hotel Asia
I decided to replace KC Residency from number 5 and put it at number 5 position among Jammu best hotels only because of it’s location,ambience,swimming pool,community halls and almost two restaurants which offer indian and chinese at one complex plus the service, bar and ambience is very nice. So if we talk about family restaurants in Jammu then it’s way better than revolving restaurant KC Residency which is hugely popular among localities and also among tourist as it’s situated in Raghunath Market. Plus hotel asia is also a centrally located hotel where you can stay too.
Tip from the local
They have this huge projector in their chinese restaurant where you can take a seat near the glass windows overlooking the pool and enjoy your cuisines comfortably.
