Home Décor Ideas For Living Room
Your living room walls do not need expensive canvas wall paintings or wall arts. You can create your own wall with just few acrylic colours and some good quotes. Let your imagination fly. I painted this Buddha sitting under a tree on one of my living room walls for those Zen vibes. Few quotes were added to complete the look. Isn’t it a budget friendly DIY for your living room?

“Have you ever thought of using branches for décor. If not then you must try because they can give an artistic look to your living room.“
My curled and dried up branches arranged in a wooden vase look amazing with the fairy lights. Such an inexpensive DIY to decorate your living room. I collected few tender branches and cleared the leaves from them. Then rolled them around a thick stick and kept for drying for three to four days. Then painted them and arranged them in a wooden vase. It is my favorite DIY till date. I just loved doing it.

“I strongly believe in 3Rs i.e. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Most of my DIYs are inspired by this idea only. “
I created my own paper mache hangings with just old newspapers, glue, balloons and golden acrylic paint. And believe me they look so good after hanging. Instead of throwing away your old newspapers into a landfill, use them in beautiful ways like wrapping gifts, paper mache items, decoupage, origami and many more.

Decor Ideas for random Space in the house
A DIY which is very close to my heart is this customized key holder which is made from disposable plastic containers which we usually throw. These containers can be easily reused and recycled in different ways. I have used them as planters too by painting them in my favorite colours. Even old and broken mugs can be up cycled into planters.

“Home is an expression of what you are and your living. Your décor should reflect your personal style, collection of things made by you, your DIYs and much more.”
A dash of bright colours in my living room with these hand painted bottles. Why splurge on expensive decorative pieces when these hand painted bottles can do the magic. Decorating isn’t about costly items but about using the resources available at home. I have painted these empty bottles and put them together for that colourful nook. Super easy bottle DIY. So from now do not throw these empty bottles and put them to creative use.

Decor Ideas for Kitchen space
“It is said that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Whether small or large, kitchen is the hub of the home. It is equally important when it comes to home décor.“
I created a customized wall mounted cup holder with a piece of plywood lying in my store. It also acts as decorative display storage in the kitchen.

Garden Décor Ideas
Let’s talk about garden décor now. There is no need to spend much while decorating your balconies, porches and gardens. You can decorate them with your handmade planters.
“I have up cycled tyres, bamboo, plastic containers, old mugs, oil jerry cans, earthen glasses and liquor boxes into beautiful planters.“

The world of imagination and creativity is boundless. Turning imaginative ideas into reality opens us up to thinking differently. Have you ever thought of creating your little urban garden by using the available resources smartly? If not then check this out.
“You can create a beautiful green nook in your backyard verandah or balcony by just arranging few planters of different sizes and colour on an old shoe rack or any other rack lying in your store.“
The easiest way to add interest to your green space is to play with colours and different sizes of planters. Make your dwelling more tranquil and peaceful by growing plenty of plants indoor as well as outdoor.

Earthen matkas and pots can be used for landscaping in your gardens. Vertical gardens can also be created for a gorgeous landscape. I created a vertical garden on a dead tree trunk by embellishing it with few planters to give it a fresh and healthy look. It’s no more ugly now. Isn’t it a great idea of landscaping?

“It started as a hobby of converting waste products into beautiful decorative pieces but now it has become my passion. Up cycling gives me immense joy and pleasure. “
So let your imagination go wild and do what you can with what you have. I keep collecting earthen glasses, kullads or any earthen pot after consuming eatables from them. Check these earthen butter milk glasses being transformed into beautiful lamps for my verandah.
