10 Superhit movies of Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor is one of those names of Bollywood without whom we can not imagine Indian commercial movies. It almost looks unreal that he is not amongst us any more. He was fighting cancer since long and it is unbelievable how we lost Rishi Kapoor to cancer last night at 67 when another  legendary actor Irrfan Khan also lost his life to cancer just a day back at 54. Rishi Kapoor is third son of Raj Kapoor and started his filmy career playing a child artist in his father’s movie ‘Mera Naam Joker.’ But ‘Bobby’ was the movie when Rishi Kapoor arrived in hindi movies. He played the lead opposite to Dimple Kapadia. This post is our tribute to his legendary contribution to Indian Cinema where we would feature ten best movies of Rishi Kapoor in his lifetime.

Bobby (1973)

Bobby was the movie when Rishi Kapoor truly arrived. It was almost a debut movie for him where he played an adult male lead i. e. hero of the movie. Raj, the son of strict, wealthy parents, falls in love with Bobby, the daughter of a poor Christian fisherman — a romance his parents oppose. The story plot was a rebellious of its time. There was comedy, music and romance along with the magnanimous presence of Prem and Pran nath. Perhaps nothing could have ever gone wrong with this movie which was also the debut movie of DImple Kapadia. ‘Hum tum ek kamre mein band ho aur chabi kho jaye’ is an iconic song of Bollywood. rishi kapoor movies bollywodd actor veteran ranbir kapoor top ten blockbuster death indian cinema contribution
